Services and Specialties

Clinical psychologists are trained to provide many psychological services. Psychotherapy is one service that helps children and adults deal with emotional, psychological, behavioral and relational difficulties. Most clinical psychologists (or psychotherapists) are trained to diagnose and provide treatment for mild to severe psychological disorders, including but not limited to mood disorders, thought disorders, anxiety disorders, and personality disorders, etc. We are also competent in providing relief or change in interpersonal issues and other life problems. Please note that California psychologists cannot legally prescribe medication. This prohibition is established in Section 2904 of the California Business and Professions Code. We can discuss a referral to a local psychiatrist, if needed.
